Alex is a highly effective Senior Adviser and Project Manager with more than 25 years of senior management and board experience in the ICT and energy sectors. His recent specialities are with renewable energy, sustainable energy, out-sourcing, near-sourcing, scaling, capacity building, vertical market acquisition, change management, and strategic planning.

 

He has operated in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and across all the countries of the Former Soviet Union.

 

Alex is creative and innovative, recognised for his commercial awareness and a broad understanding of business issues. His interpersonal, communications, presentational, numerical and analytical skills make him an outstanding mentor for start up and established business managements.

 

He is presently a business development consultant with IndiNet, advising companies in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Balkans, Ukraine, Russia, UK, Ireland and USA. His projects have included a fixed-term contract to develop Spear Energy Limited.

 

Previously, he had been a key member of the TAM/BAS Programme in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, primarily in the ICT sector involving the setting up and management of business incubators, implementing projects to build capacity, develop international business, adopt modern marketing, finance, sales and HR practice. He worked directly with teams of specialists and directors of client companies to set and achieve performance objectives with tight budgets provided by donor countries.

 

Alex is a Director of Hoki plc, where he has developed and implemented a completely new business with 5 groups: Applications Service Provider, ECommerce Development, NewMedia, Secure ISP and OnLine Marketing. Headquarters are in Belgrade, with full services being provided in Belgrade, Baku, Bishkek and Yerevan.

 

Alex has an honours BA degree in Business Studies with French, from The Open University. He speaks French, German and Russian with his native English.
