Emma Hooper is an adviser specialising in communications and policy. Emma is particularly enthusiastic about assisting women entrepreneurs to play an increasingly important role in economic and social development.

She has worked on projects on the ground across Africa for political figures, NGOs and private organisations and has lived in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.


Emma speaks Yoruba and is well versed in development economics. Alongside her advisory work she is a PhD student at SOAS conducting research on the trade in fake pharmaceuticals in West Africa.
